Dear friends and family of The Circle’s Edge, Inc.™

501(c)(3) Need Assistance for office and meeting space. As the Founder of The Circle’s Edge, I am so honored and pleased to see how strong and resilient The Circle’s Edge has been and continues to be. This journey has not been easy doing much of the ground work myself just to keep this dream afloat. So I am happy to see The Circle’s Edge still keeping our mission of fighting loneliness, isolation, bullying, and rejection through outreach programs (like music Thearpy at nursing homes) and social activities (like all of the events on our MeetUp.com pages) alive after all these years!!

As we grow, we are seeking financial support for our forthcoming meeting and office space in the city of Cohoes. This opportunity will allow us to help revitalize Cohoes, and Main Street in particular, by having our location right off of Main Street for the community and citizens of the Capital District. Additionally, the property we are using is historic. The structure was built in 1846 when Main Street was still called Canal Street and was later recorded on the Cohoes map in 1860. Then in 1916, St. Rita’s Catholic Church bought this property and began renovations for their congregation.

Cohoes is an ideal setting for our meeting and office space. It is centrally located and easily accessible via car right off of 787 and public transportation via the 182-bus between Albany and Troy, NY. Moreover, Cohoes is a nice, cozy town with a community feel, a rich vibrant history, and even more potential.

Additionally, we at The Circle’s Edge, Inc. can help play our part in helping revitalize main street Cohoes by renovating the dilapidated garage behind the historic main street property. The garage is currently not very structurally sound, and is a breeding ground for rodents and people’s litter and bulky trash.

Our goal is to turn this eyesore off main street into a lofty office space for our volunteers, interns, and staff as well as a gathering space for the citizens of the capitol district – and even the world compliments of the internet. It will be a perfect spot to study and work as well as a gathering space for activities like language tables, watching movies, or even a BBQ and dance on our anticipated rooftop deck. This meeting and office space will upgrade the property and Main Street as well. The estimated cost for this building renovation project is between $58,000 and $73,800. Our tentative goal is to be able to dedicate the building by next fall, 2017.
